This Sunday, July 21st is our Hatsubon / Obon-e Special Service as well as Shotsuki Hoyo for July, to be grateful and to think of those people who have passed away. Please join us at 10am Pacific, in person or via zoom.
The special service will be followed by potluck downstairs. Please join us and if you can bring a dish to share, that will be wonderful!
And here is a reminder of the Northwest District Convention that is coming up!
Our annual Northwest District Buddhist Convention “Connections: Building a Better Tomorrow”, is Sep 13-15, 2024 at the Muckleshoot Casino and Hotel. It is our annual event where we get together with other Pure Land Buddhists of BCA to share services, workshops, social gatherings, and conduct planning meetings. Northwest District Buddhist Convention (nwdconvention.org) for more information, including background on speakers, Rev. Candice Shibata, Lon Inaba, and Judge Kimberly Walden. Please go to this link to register as soon as possible.
Ask Ann Shintani about OBT youth reimbursements for half the cost of youth registration, or for reimbursement for OBWA and OBWA Associate members registration. Also, if you wish to stay in the participating hotel, please do so as soon as possible.
